February 2013
• We were chosen to create the sound design for a campaign video from LO – a Danish organization representing 1,1 million members across 18 trade unions. The campaign is called ‘Er Du OK’ (‘Are You OK’) and is currently running on multiple platforms in Denmark.
• We were chosen by product development firm De-De to deliver the sound branding for Pling, a brand-new collaborative audio communication platform for desktop, tablets and mobiles. Our work included the signature Pling sound logo as well as custom-designed sounds for all user experience and interface elements.
The sounds will be used throughout the platform, as well as in the marketing and branding campaigns.

October 2012
• We created original music and sound design for ‘Hovsa og Venner’ (‘Oops and Friends’), a new game from Egmont Media. An entirely new franchise from Egmont, ‘Hovsa and Friends’ is initally being released on the iPad in Denmark, Sweden and Norway. Egmont is a leading Scandinavian media house with more than 6,500 employees in 30 countries. Get ‘Hovsa og Venner’ for the iPad here!
• Entertainer Huxi Bach is on the road again for the Fall tour of his show ‘Huxi Bachs Store Kærlighed’, featuring music by Epic Sound.

September 2012
• Original music and sound design delivered for an upcoming game. More news to follow when the title is officially announced.
• We delivered archive sounds for Hugo Retro Mania and Hugo Troll Race, two new titles for iPad from developer Krea. They have both been selling extremely well in the Apple iTunes Store.

August 2012
• We have a winner: More than 300 composers took part in a competition to create the new audio profile for software powerhouse Digia – and Epic Sound’s Asbjoern Andersen created the winning track.

Here’s what Digia Marketing Director Wilhelm Taht said about Asbjoern’s winning track: ‘It combined everything that the brief set forth. It has a warm organic, perhaps even analogue feeling in its sounds, but created with highly technical production and great attention to detail. The song is a great representation of the Digia brand’
• Voices recorded for new commercials.

July 2012
• Entertainer Huxi Bach has completed his tour around the country with his latest show, featuring our music. And it received great reviews!

‘True love for the people’, ‘sharp and refreshing’ and ‘entertainment on a high level’ have been some of the press comments so far.

A popular former television and radio host, Huxi Bach opened his show in the beginning of March and has now completed his Spring tour. He’ll return once again with his show in the Fall.

• Entertainer Huxi Bach’s new show – featuring our music – opened to great reviews!

‘True love for the people’, ‘sharp and refreshing’ and ‘entertainment on a high level’ have been some of the press comments so far.

A popular former television and radio host, Huxi Bach opened his show in the beginning of March and toured the country with more than 20 performances.
• In case you’d already started packing to come visit us in our new home in Greenland, you can safely put the winter gloves back in the drawer. It was just an April Fools’ Day joke – hope you enjoyed it :)

February 2012
• There’s a new trailer out for ‘Hvidsten Gruppen’, a major new feature film with music by Epic Sound. It premieres March 1st.
• We’ve completed the music for ‘The Face’, a new short film by director Svend Ploug Johansen.
• New game audio completed

January 2012
• Epic Sound is composing the score for Hvidsten Gruppen, a major new feature film based on a true story about a resistance group in World War 2. The movie marks the directing debut for Anne-Grethe Bjarup Riis and has Anders Refn on as technical director.
• New soundbranding projects are in the works.
• New localization projects completed

December 2011
• Christmas game music and sound design provided for a large batch of arcade machines, and Christmas sound effects delivered for Kammeradvokaten – the Danish Junior Counsel to the Treasury’s office.
• Original music and sound design delivered for a new cinematic corporate trailer presentation.
• Voices delivered for a new video game for mobile and online platforms

November 2011
• We’re currently beavering away on trailer audio, game sound, a feature film, sound branding and localization projects – so it’s busy times in the studio. Stay tuned for updates as the projects develop.
• An audiobook recorded in the Epic Sound studio is a finalist at the 2011 Danish Audiobook of the Year awards.
The book, ‘Kongens Hunde’ was written by author Martin Jensen and narrated by voice actor Torben Sekov.
Another book recorded in the studio with voice actor Rebekka Owe was a runner-up for the award.
• New sound logos are in the works

October 2011
• Epic Sound provides music, sound design and voices for a new presentation for One.com, developed by Ghost. The presentation launches an all-new cloud service from One.com, a market leading web hosting provider with more than 850.000 customers in 149 countries.
Ghost is one of the largest visual effect facilities in Scandinavia and has done visuals on movies such as ‘Cowboys and Aliens’, ‘Hellboy 2’, ‘Harry Potter 5’ and many more.
• The Anti Sleep Pilot device, featuring sound by Epic Sound and developed by ASP Technologies, is experiencing tremendous growth. Five years in the making, the device has been developed to monitor and prevent accidents due to driver fatigue.
It was a finalist at the prestigious INDEX:Awards for its design, and the company is currently in talks with Ford motors.
• ‘Ronal the Barbarian’ – an animated feature film we did trailer voices for – is now out in cinemas across Denmark. It has also been sold to 25 countries around the world. Have a peek at some of the media coverage for the premiere (Note: In Danish):

September 2011
• Epic Sound has been chosen to compose the music for a major new Danish feature film. The name of the project will be announced as the project progresses. It is currently in production and premieres in cinemas across the country in Spring 2012.
• Hugo Safari – an animated series featuring audio by Epic Sound, has been re-released for the iPad and online. It is also available on DVD and follows the adventures of Hugo as he explores the African savannah.
• DELTA Acoustics, one of Europe’s leading acoustic and technology research companies, has brought in Epic Sound for new vocal recordings for their future testing facilities.
August 2011
• Napoleon: Total War’- featuring music by Epic Sound – has won an Ivor Novello Award, one of the most prestigious awards in the music industry!
This marks the second year in a row where a title with Epic Sound on the composing team has been nominated for an Ivor Novello award.
Tracksounds also reviewed the soundtrack – they gave it a 9/10 rating and said: ‘Soaring melodies, sensitive underscoring, and a solid live performance come together to produce one of the best game scores we’ve heard yet this year.’
• ‘Ronal the Barbarian’, an animated feature film by Einstein Film and featuring trailer voices by Epic Sound, has been pre-sold to 15 countries.

• We’re currently working on the audio for a new visual presentation from a leading Danish company.
• Epic Sound composes the music for a new television campaign for Ipren, a leading over-the-counter pain reliever from Nycomed. The music is used in television commercials and promo spots currently running on all major networks in Denmark.
It is also backed by a large print campaign which was shortlisted for a Creative Circle Award.
• More voices prompts have been recorded.

April 2011
• For a limited time, Denmark’s Radio was giving away a selection of audio books in Danish for free, including two books recorded in the Epic Sound studio by voice talents Bent Otto Hansen and Louise Herbert.
• David Filskov and Asbjoern Andersen from Epic Sound gave a lecture on audio for games at The Game Academy at Vallekilde Højskole.
• New remixes completed at the Epic Sound studio.

March 2011
• ‘Napoleon: Total War’ – featuring music by Epic Sound – was nominated for a BAFTA award.
• You can now watch ‘Vilddyr’ online – a short film in Danish featuring music by Epic Sound. Click here to watch the film.

• We’re happy to announce that ‘Napoleon: Total War’ – featuring music by Epic Sound – has been nominated for a Strategy Game of the Year Award at the Danish Game Awards.

• Music and sound design in the works for a new global concept presentation, in collaboration with a leading Danish visual post production company.

• A short film featuring an original score by Epic Sound had its Danish television premiere on DR K December 7th 23:05 CET.

• We were picked to deliver the voice-over for the teaser for “Ronal the Barbarian”, an upcoming feature film from the team behind the best-selling”The Journey to Saturn” and “Terkel in Trouble”.
• We’ve been brought on board for the score for a new feature film. More details to follow.

October 2010
• We’ve delivered sound branding for the just-released Anti Sleep Pilot-device. Several years in development, the Anti Sleep Pilot – or ASP -, is a device created to monitor driver alertness and reduce accidents due to driver fatigue.

• Composer Simon Ravn from Epic Sound has composed the orchestral score for “Boelle Bob – alletiders helt”, the latest installment in a popular Danish familiy series. The movie premiered July 15th in cinemas across Denmark.

• It’s with great pride that we can announce that the Empire: Total War-soundtrack was nominated for an Ivor Novello award. The awards honour excellence in music writing and are among the most prestigious awards in the music industry.
• Sound designer David Filskov and composer Asbjoern Andersen from Epic Sound gave a lecture at the Danish IT University on audio for games.

Topics included thoughts and input on how to get the best music, sound design, voice acting and localization for game productions.

• Epic Sound was brought in to record the narration for a new documentary from Context TV.
It portrays the hunt for a long-lost and highly valuable family treasure hidden since the Second World War.
The documentary is airing around Europe.
• Empire: Total War – featuring music by Epic Sound – receives even more honors!
It was chosen by IGN as the Best Strategy Game of 2009, and Gamasutra chose it to be among the Top 5 Best PC games of 2009
• Voices and sound effects delivered for The Danish Animal Foundation.

December 2009
• 2009 has been a fantastic year at Epic Sound – thanks a lot to all of you who helped make this happen!
• The score for an upcoming game is currently being recorded with a full orchestra and choir.

The game is in development at the moment and will be released in 2010.
• Epic Sound delivers voices and localization in ten languages for Hugo: Magic in the Trollwoods, a new game from Krea Media out now for Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, PC and Playstation 2.
We recorded more than 20 actors from around the world for the game and handled translation of all scripts, documentation and on-screen text.
The game is the latest installment in a series which has sold more than 8.5 million copies worldwide.

• Epic Sound brings in around 20 voice actors for a new game coming out this winter for the Nintendo Wii, PC and PS2. We have also delivered localization of all scripts and on-screen text in 10 languages.
• “Empire: Total War” from The Creative Assembly / SEGA was a finalist for the 2009 Develop Award for Audio Excellence. The game features critically-acclaimed orchestral music by Epic Sound’s Simon Ravn, and it went straight to number one on the charts around the world.

• The amazing reviews for Empire: Total War – featuring music by Epic Sound composer Simon Ravn – continue to pour in, and it is topping the charts as well.

The game went straight to number one on the charts around the world, and it is the first PC title since 2007 to claim the top spot on the All-Formats Chart in the UK. It has also been number one on the official US PC game charts for three weeks straight.

The game is the latest installment in the award-winning Total War series from development studio Creative Assembly, and is distributed by SEGA.

Simon’s critically acclaimed score for the game was composed using his custom orchestral sample libraries, and then recorded by a live 60 piece orchestra in Bratislava.

Among the many awards it has won so far is the PC FORMAT GOLD Award, the IGN Editor’s Choice Award, Gamespy’s Editor’s Choice Award, Gamingheaven’s Heavenly Gold Award, the PCGAMER MUST BUY award – and after 51 reviews, the game’s average rating is 9/10.
• On April 12th, 8:55 PM CET, ‘Anja & Viktor – Flaming Love’ premiered on Danish TV2. The movie features a score by Epic Sound, and it was the best-selling Danish feature film in 2007.
‘Anja & Viktor – Flaming Love’ is a romantic comedy and is part of a series which has sold more than 1.8 million cinema tickets and around a million copies on DVD.
• We’ve worked on a title currently nominated for the 2009 Best Nordic Game Awards.
• Epic Sound delivers audio prompts for new voice system.

• Epic Sound composer Simon Ravn is part of the composing team on the score for ‘Empire: Total War’.

The game is the latest installment in the award-winning Total War series from critically acclaimed development studio Creative Assembly, and has just been released by SEGA.

Simon’s epic score for the game was composed using his custom orchestral sample libraries, and then recorded by a live 60 piece orchestra in Bratislava.

• “The Journey to Saturn” – featuring audio work by Epic Sound – has been nominated for a 2009 Cartoon Movie Award, given out by the European Association of Animation Films.

The promotion leading up to the premiere has won two True Awards – one for Best Campaign and one for Best Viral Movie.

• Epic Sound composer Simon Ravn provides the score for the American short film, “The Misinventions of Milo Weatherby”, by director Bill Whirity. The film follows the adventures of Milo and Levi that result from the mishaps and mayhem caused by Milo’s failed inventions.
• Epic Sound provides the ambience sound for Blend Entertainment’s teaser web site, promoting the upcoming title Dark Horizon.View the site
• “Ticket for Success”, an animated comedy featuring audio by Epic Sound, wins an Atlantis Award at the Moondance International Film Festival.
• Epic Sound provides sound branding for new TV channel launch.

• Audio for a large selection of new Nickelodeon® television branding spots from Krogh Mortensen Animation has been completed. Nickelodeon® is also currently running a series of branding spots featuring audio by Epic Sound. Nickelodeon® is viewed in more than 86 million households in the United States and 471 million households globally in 161 territories.
• Epic Sound delivers music, sound design and localization for Hula Holiday, the latest game from NDS in the Hugo series – a series which has sold more than 8.5 million copies worldwide. The game is out now on PC, PlayStation2 and Nintendo Wii.
• More Scandinavian voice-overs delivered for presentations from a global pharmaceutical company.
• Audio in the works for new TV-series pilot.

• “The Police Academy” – featuring audio post processing by Epic Sound – wins the TVPRISEN 2008 Award for Best Documentary Series. This is one of the most prestigious awards given for Danish television productions.

“Milosevic On Trial” has also won the Odense Film Festival 2008 Grand Prix Award. This is yet another win for the multi-award winning documentary featuring an original score by Epic Sound.
• Epic Sound delivers voice-over for new feature film trailer.

• “Viking: Battle for Asgard” from The Creative Assembly / SEGA was nominated for a 2008 Develop Industry Excellence Award – Europe’s most prestigious awards for game developers. Released in March 2008, Viking: Battle for Asgard went straight to the game charts around the world.
The game features critically-acclaimed orchestral music by Epic Sound, recorded with a 60 piece orchestra and 40 piece choir.
• Work completed on audio for a corporate presentation.
• Audio for new television production completed.
• Ambience tracks created for game studio.
• “Milosevic on Trial” was in the Sterling World Competition at the 6th SILVERDOCS festival, an American Film Institute / Discovery Channel documentary festival held June 16-23 in Washington DC. The documentary was followed by a panel discussion with Wesley Clark, retired four-star general and former Supreme Allied Commander Europe for NATO. It has also recently been shown at the 2008 Tribecca Film festival and at the Hot Docs 2008 festival in Toronto.

June 2008
• Two productions featuring audio by Epic Sound have been nominated for TVPRISEN 2008, the most prestigious award for Danish television productions.
“Milosevic on Trial” has been nominated for Documentary of the Year, and “The Police Academy” has been nominated for Documentary Series of the Year. Winners will be announced August 17th.

• Epic Sound completes the score for an upcoming documentary premiering in August.
• Audio for new television production completed.
• Work is underway on the score for an upcoming feature film premiering this Fall. More details to follow as the project progresses.

May 2008
• We’re bringing in extra staff to cope with the increasing demand.

• Epic Sound composer Simon Ravn was brought in as orchestral composer on the score for Viking: Battle For Asgard. The game is the latest production from critically acclaimed development studio Creative Assembly, and has been released by SEGA for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox360. Simon’s epic score for the game was recorded by a live 60 piece orchestra and 40 piece choir.
• ‘Milosevic on Trial’, the multi-award winning documentay featuring music by Epic Sound, had its North American premiere at the 2008 Tribecca Film festival. It was shown five times at the festival, and was selected for the World Documentary Feature Competition. The documentary was also shown at the Hot Docs 2008 festival in Toronto on April 25th and 27th.

• ‘The Cloud Mystery’ – a documentary featuring a score by Epic Sound – will be showing on Norway’s NRK, ARTE in France and TV4 Fakta, which can be seen in Sweden and Finland. It has already aired twice in Denmark on Danish TV2.

• ‘Milosevic on Trial’ – a documentary with a score by Epic Sound wins ROBERT award for Best Long Documentary. It was also nominated for a Danish TV Oscar 2008.

• Epic Sound completes demos for Sonic Implants Symphonic Strings Mini Version. We are currently beta-testing and working on demos for their upcoming Symphonic Brass library due later this year.
• Sound editing completed for ITE on the Chinese and Vietnamese versions of their interactive Hugo show.
• ‘Latino’ from Jorge Cordero gets great reviews in the press. The Epic Sound remix of ‘Todo Sigue Igual’ – the opening track on the CD – is described as being ‘irresistible’ in Danish magazine Gaffa.

• Music composed on a documentary for TV2. For contractual reasons, the title cannot be disclosed.
• Voice recording and editing done on a Christmas game from Mediamobsters. The game is called ‘Jesus & Josefine’ and is based on a similarly titled TV-series running on Danish TV2.
• Sound effects and jingles delivered to NDS Denmark for two Cartoon Network-themed set-top box games. The games are based on the Scooby Doo and Dexter’s Laboratory-franchises.

• ITE has asked us to compose all music and sound effects for their upcoming Bukkazoom game. It will be released on the Playstation 2 and Game Boy Advance platforms.
• Epic Sound is hired to compose an orchestral theme for future titles in ITE’s ‘Hugo the Troll’ range of games.

• Epic Sound is hired to create voice-over, sound effects and music for 52 commercials for the SuperBest-chain. These are running on all major Danish TV-stations.

• Epic Sound delivers the sound for ‘Broedrene Mortensens Jul’, a CD-rom production distributed in 275.000 copies with Danish magazine ‘Ude og Hjemme’, published by Aller Press. The magazine is available everywhere in Denmark from November 27th.
• Epic Sound completes music and sound design for a new presentation from Danish animation company K.M. Animation.
• Music and sound design created for Coca-Cola television commercials for the Baltic countries.
